About Meerkat Mosaics

My name is Tina Fleming, and I sell Mosaics under the name Meerkat Mosaics

I am a Mosaic Artist living in Sixmilebridge for the last 6 Years, where my Studio also is located. I am originally from South Africa where I draw my inspiration for Mosaic Art, as South Africa has wonderful Mosaic Art and materials.

I work mostly with household tiles, mosaic tiles and ornaments which I source locally in Ennis, Shannon and various car boot sales around Clare. Then I mix in the South African materials into my work.

I have been a member with Clare Crafts for approx. 2 Years, I sell my Art Works at the Markets that are organised by the Clare Crafters Association. Over the past two years, I have found that people like small functional items such as Bowls, Incense Burners and Mirrors. Large decorative pieces, e.g.: Mosaic paintings to hang on a wall, don’t sell as well. Small and useful items are preferable for selling at the Markets.

My favourite pieces are my Bowls and Mirrors.
