About Meerkat Mosaics

I’m Tina Fleming and I make and sell mosaic art under the name Meerkat Mosaics.

I’ve been living in Sixmilebridge for over a decade where my studio is also located.  I am originally from South Africa, and it is from there that I draw inspiration for the pieces I create.  South Africa has wonderful mosaic art and materials.  I work mostly with household tiles and mosaic tiles which I source locally from Ennis and Limerick.

Recently I’ve begun making ceramic art pieces which I then combine with my mosaic art to create pieces that are new and unique.  I prefer to make functional items such as bowls, mirrors. Key hanging ornaments, hotplates and other bits and pieces, as well as the decorative ceramic art.

I’ve been a member of the Clare Crafts Association since 2017 and sell my pieces at the markets organised by them.
